We begin to navigate the bend in the river. We did not expect the next experience. Out of the darkness, Budapest shines unbelievably beautiful.
We sample the wine not at a tasting bar but are served samples as we make our way through the tour. There is even a multi-sensory presentation of sight, sound, taste and smell. The luggage is going to be heavy on the way home!
It feels like we landed on the moon. The lava fields are out of this worldly!
As if on cue from a movie set or theme park, a full rainbow appears in the sky. We have seen more rainbows here on Maui in the last week then in the last several years at home.
We begin our rapid run. What a blast. The cold icy waters hit you but there is so much action you don’t even notice. We make it through the first set of rapids. Slow down for part of the river and then hit the second more intense rapids. What a rush.
I remember waking up at 2:30 am because I just needed to see what 24-hour daylight really is.
